Software Tester · AI-assisted QA · Healthcare software

Germany

I test healthcare software, and I’ve spent the last year working out how AI agents can make testing better without making it less trustworthy.

Now

  • Software tester at a healthcare software company, since November 2025
  • Preparing for the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) exam

Profile

Software tester with a year of experience on healthcare and nursing software. I combine exploratory judgement with an AI-assisted test workflow that I designed and run myself. In it, agents execute browser tests and collect evidence, a second review layer checks every claim, and nothing reaches a ticket without my approval. More than 150 tickets have been verified and reported this way.

I focus on reproducible scenarios, controlled test data, traceable evidence and a clear line between product defects and environment or configuration issues. My interim reference rates my performance as exceeding expectations in every respect.

What actually matters

The agent is rarely the hard part. The hard parts are:

  1. The right test data. I build FHIR test data from specs and backdate it when a rule depends on time, so a “locked after 24 hours” check doesn’t take 24 hours.
  2. The right environment. I check which build is actually deployed before a test starts, and I tell product defects apart from configuration problems.
  3. The review. An agent saying “it works” is a claim, not a result.

Experience

11/2025 – present
Healthcare software companySoftware Tester, Customer Service and Support
  • Verify bug fixes and features for the company’s healthcare and nursing platform. More than 150 tickets so far, each reported in German with screenshots and a clear verdict for the development and product teams.
  • Designed and operate a multi-agent test workflow: I scope each ticket and choose the target environment and test data, an execution agent runs the browser tests and collects evidence, and a review agent checks every claim against the ticket and screenshots. Reports are posted only after my sign-off.
  • Built a spec-based test-data process for FHIR resources (patients, questionnaires, vital signs, medication and lab orders), validated before every write. Time-dependent rules such as document age locks can be tested the same day by backdating the data, instead of waiting for real time to pass.
  • Maintain an inventory of 25+ customer demo environments. Verified their FHIR endpoints against the live configuration and corrected 14 that were wrong in the internal documentation. Configure and update demo environments and administer a dedicated UI-test server.
  • Check the deployed build version before each test run, so results are tied to the exact build under test.
  • Ran regression campaigns: a full regression suite on a customer demo environment, a questionnaire-engine regression (18/18 cases passed) and release-candidate testing based on a curated set of 114 test cases.
  • Migrated QMetry test cases into a Playwright-based test format and set up coverage tracking that links 147 test templates to QMetry traceability and run evidence across 12 customer environments.
  • Exploratory testing of the platform’s mobile app on an Android emulator, using screenshots, UI trees and logs as evidence.
  • Built a searchable knowledge base of product documentation, past findings and test history, so investigations carry over between sessions.

Ingram Micro Services GmbHApprentice Electronics Technician, Devices and Systems
  • Began vocational training in electronic devices and systems before moving into professional software testing.
09/2024 – 09/2025
Ingram Micro Services GmbHE-Scooter Repair and Quality Technician
  • Diagnosed technical faults, repaired e-scooters and carried out functional and quality inspections.
  • Used systematic troubleshooting and post-repair checks to confirm that faults had been resolved.

Earlier work, Denmark

Before software I studied nanotechnology in Aalborg and worked everything from fish processing to restaurant floors in Denmark. Finding faults systematically turned out to be the same skill in a different medium.
